Jane Winfield (M.F.A., painting, 2012) creates abstract paintings that are concerned with the precariousness of surface, weight and balance. She describes her work as “playfully frustrated” abstract paintings that are inspired from perceptual incongruities and spatial phenomena. Her work has appeared in group shows in the U.S. and South Korea. "Signs of Life," a solo exhibition of her work, was displayed at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia. She lives and works in Richmond, VA.
